I had heard about this scenic train in Norway and decided to take it! We were staying in Bergen, but we would have to take a 3-hour train with a transfer in Myrdal to get to Flam.

Bergen, Norway is a big enough city to have a tram, a park, hotels, and a hop on/off bus. Traveling around Bergen is pretty easy and not nearly as expensive as Iceland.

Kauai entertainment doesn’t have to be expensive.

We haven’t been to a luau in about 20 years and have they changed! The last one we went to was held outside and was quite small. The one we attended this time was an extravaganza! If you come to Kauai, I suggest you attend the luau at Gaylord’s which also has a fabulous restaurant,

Marriott’s Kauai Lagoons is our favorite Marriott place to stay! You can see a cruise ship float into the harbor from our balcony!

When we vacation at a property we like, we are usually tempted to buy there, especially when we are offered $150 towards dinner or a free sunset sail or something as enticing. We are usually in travel euphoria which, for me, means I am in a somewhat unreal zone enjoying freedom from the mundane.
